महःmahaḥ सsa रायrāya एषतेeṣate पतिर्दन्निनpatirdannina इनस्यinasya वसुनःvasunaḥ पदpada आā |

उपupa धरजन्तमद्रयोdhrajantamadrayo विधन्नितvidhannit ||
HITHER he hastens to give, Lord of great riches, King of the mighty, to the place of treasure.
The pressing-stones shall serve him speeding near us.

सsa योyo वर्षाvṛṣā नरांnarāṃ नna रोदस्योःrodasyoḥ शरवोभिरस्तिśravobhirasti जीवपीतसर्गःjīvapītasarghaḥ |

परpra यःyaḥ सस्राणःsasrāṇaḥ शिश्रीतśiśrīta योनौyonau ||
As Steer of men so Steer of earth and heaven by glory, he whose streams all life hath drunken,
Who hasting forward rests upon the altar.
1.149.2
आā यःyaḥ पुरंpuraṃ नार्मिणीमदीदेदत्यःnārmiṇīmadīdedatyaḥ कविर्नभन्योkavirnabhanyo नार्वnārva |

सूरोsūro नna रुरुक्वाञ्छतात्माrurukvāñchatātmā ||
He who hath lighted up the joyous castle, wise Courser like the Steed of cloudy heaven,
Bright like the Sun, with hundredfold existence.
1.149.3
अभिabhi दविजन्माdvijanmā तरीtrī रोचनानिrocanāni विश्वviśva रजांसिrajāṃsi शुशुचनोśuśucano अस्थातasthāt |

होताhotā यजिष्ठोyajiṣṭho अपांapāṃ सधस्थेsadhasthe ||
He, doubly born, hath spread in his effulgence through the three luminous realms, through all the regions,
Best sacrificing Priest where waters gather.
1.149.4
अयंayaṃ सsa होतhota योyo दविजन्माdvijanmā विश्वाviśvā दधेdadhe वार्याणिvāryāṇi शरवस्याśravasyā |

मर्तोmarto योyo अस्मैasmai सुतुकोsutuko ददाशdadāśa ||
Priest doubly born, he through his love of glory hath in his keeping all things worth the choosing,
The man who brings him gifts hath noble offspring.
1.149.5
