यदyad धdha सयाsyā तta इन्द्रindra शरुष्टिरस्तिśruṣṭirasti ययाyayā बभूथbabhūtha जरित्र्भ्यjaritṛbhya ऊतीūtī |

माmā नःnaḥ कामंkāmaṃ महयन्तमाmahayantamā धगdhagh विश्वाviśvā तेte अश्याम्पर्यापaśyāmparyāpa आयोःāyoḥ ||
IF, Indra, thou hast given that gracious hearing where with thou helpest those who sang thy praises.
Blast not the wish that would exalt us may I gain all from thee, and pay all man's devotions.

नna घाghā राजेन्द्रrājendra आā दभनdabhan नोno याyā नुnu सवसाराsvasārā कर्णवन्तkṛṇavanta योनौyonau |

आपश्चिदस्मैāpaścidasmai सुतुकाsutukā अवेषनaveṣan गमनghaman नna इन्द्रःindraḥ सख्याsakhyā वयश्चvayaśca ||
Let not the Sovran Indra disappoint us in what shall bring both Sisters to our dwelling.
To him have run the quickly flowing waters. May Indra come to us with life and friendship.
1.178.2
जेताjetā नर्भिरिन्द्रःnṛbhirindraḥ पर्त्सुpṛtsu शूरःśūraḥ शरोताśrotā हवंhavaṃ नाधमानस्यnādhamānasya कारोःkāroḥ |

परभर्ताprabhartā रथंrathaṃ दाशुषdāśuṣa उपकupaka उद्यन्तudyanta गिरोghiro यदिyadi चca तमनाtmanā भूतbhūt ||
Victorious with the men, Hero in battles, Indra, who hears the singer's supplication,
Will bring his car nigh to the man who offers, if he himself upholds the songs that praise him.
1.178.3
एवाevā नर्भिरिन्द्रःnṛbhirindraḥ सुश्रवस्याsuśravasyā परखादःprakhādaḥ पर्क्षोpṛkṣo अभिabhi मित्रिणोmitriṇo भूतbhūt |

समर्यsamarya इषiṣa सतवतेstavate विवाचिvivāci सत्राकरोsatrākaro यजमानस्यशंसःyajamānasyaśaṃsaḥ ||
Yea, Indra, with the men, through love of glory consumes the sacred food which friends have offered.
The ever-strengthening song of him who worships is sung in fight amid the clash of voices.

तवयाtvayā वयंvayaṃ मघवन्निन्द्रmaghavannindra शत्रुनभिśatrunabhi षयमṣyama महतोmahato मन्यमनानmanyamanān |

तवंtvaṃ तराताtrātā तवमुtvamu नोno वर्धेvṛdhe भुर्वि...bhurvi... ||
Aided by thee, O Maghavan, O Indra, may we subdue our foes who count them mighty.
Be our protector, strengthen and increase us. May we find strengthening food in full abundance.
