मनीषिणःmanīṣiṇaḥ परpra भरध्वंbharadhvaṃ मनीषांmanīṣāṃ यथा-यथाyathā-yathā मतयःसन्तिmatayaḥsanti नर्णामnṛṇām |

इन्द्रंindraṃ सत्यैरेरयामाsatyairerayāmā कर्तेभिःkṛtebhiḥ सsa हिवीरोhivīro गिर्वणस्युर्विदानःghirvaṇasyurvidānaḥ ||
BRING forth your sacred song ye prudent singers, even as are the thoughts of human beings.
Let us draw Indra with true deeds anear us: he loves our songs, the Hero, and is potent.
10.111.1
रतस्यṛtasya हिhi सदसोsadaso धीतिरद्यौतdhītiradyaut संsaṃ गार्ष्टेयोghārṣṭeyo वर्षभोगोभिरानटvṛṣabhoghobhirānaṭ |

उदतिष्ठतudatiṣṭhat तविषेणाtaviṣeṇā रवेणraveṇa महान्तिmahānti चित्संcitsaṃ विव्याचाvivyācā रजांसिrajāṃsi ||
The hymn shone brightly from the seat of worship: to the kine came the Bull, the Heifer's Offipring
With mighty bellowing hath he arisen, and hath pervaded even the spacious regions.
10.111.2
इन्द्रःindraḥ किलkila शरुत्याśrutyā अस्यasya वेदveda सsa हिhi जिष्णुःjiṣṇuḥ पथिक्र्त्सूर्यायpathikṛtsūryāya |

आनān मेनांmenāṃ कर्ण्वन्नच्युतोkṛṇvannacyuto भुवदbhuvad गोःghoḥ पतिर्दिवःpatirdivaḥ सनजाsanajā अप्रतीतःapratītaḥ ||
Indra knows, verily, how to hear our singing, for he, victorious, made a path for Sūrya.
He made the Cow, and be became the Sovran of Heaven, primeval, matchless, and unshaken.
10.111.3
इन्द्रोindro मह्नाmahnā महतोmahato अर्णवस्यarṇavasya वरतामिनादङगिरोभिर्ग्र्णानःvratāminādaṅghirobhirghṛṇānaḥ |

पुरूणिpurūṇi चिनcin निni ततानाtatānā रजांसिrajāṃsi दाधारdādhāra योधरुणंyodharuṇaṃ सत्यताताsatyatātā ||
Praised by Aṅgirases, Indra demolished with might the works of the great watery monster
Full many regions, too, hath he pervaded, and by his truth supported earth's foundation.
10.111.4
इन्द्रोindro दिवःdivaḥ परतिमानंpratimānaṃ पर्थिव्याpṛthivyā विश्वाviśvā वेदveda सवनाsavanā हन्तिशुष्णमhantiśuṣṇam |

महींmahīṃ चिदcid दयामातनोतdyāmātanot सूर्येणsūryeṇa चास्कम्भcāskambha चित्कम्भनेनcitkambhanena सकभीयानskabhīyān ||
The counterpart of heaven and earth is Indra: he knoweth all libations, slayeth Śuṣṇa.
The vast sky with the Sun hath he extended, and, best otpillars, stayed it with a pillar.
10.111.5
वज्रेणvajreṇa हिhi वर्त्रहाvṛtrahā वर्त्रमस्तरदेवस्यvṛtramastaradevasya शूशुवानस्यमायाःśūśuvānasyamāyāḥ |

विvi धर्ष्णोdhṛṣṇo अत्रatra धर्षताdhṛṣatā जघन्थाथाभवोमघवनjaghanthāthābhavomaghavan बाह्वोजाःbāhvojāḥ ||
The Vṛtra-slaver with his bolt felled Vṛtra: the magic of the godless, waxen mighty,
Here hast thou, Bold Assailant, boldly conquered. Yea, then thine arms, O Maghavan, were potent.
10.111.6
सचन्तsacanta यदुषसःyaduṣasaḥ सूर्येणsūryeṇa चित्रामस्यcitrāmasya केतवोketavo रामविन्दनrāmavindan |

आā यनyan नक्षत्रंnakṣatraṃ दद्र्शेdadṛśe दिवोdivo नna पुनर्यतोpunaryato नकिरद्धाnakiraddhā नुnu वेदveda ||
When the Dawns come attendant upon Sūrya their rays discover wealth of divers colours.
The Star of heaven is seen as ’twere approaching: none knoweth aught of it as it departeth.
10.111.7
दूरंdūraṃ किलkila परथमाprathamā जग्मुरासामिन्द्रस्यjaghmurāsāmindrasya याःyāḥ परसवेसस्रुरापःprasavesasrurāpaḥ |

कवkva सविदग्रंsvidaghraṃ कवkva बुध्नbudhna आसामापोमध्यंāsāmāpomadhyaṃ कवkva वोvo नूनमन्तःnūnamantaḥ ||
Far have they gone, the first of all these waters, the waters that flowed forth when Indra sent them.
Where is their spring, and where is their foundation? Where now, ye Waters, is your inmost centre?
10.111.8
सर्जःsṛjaḥ सिन्धून्रहिनाsindhūnrahinā जग्रसानानादिदेताःjaghrasānānādidetāḥ परpra विविज्रेजवेनvivijrejavena |

मुमुक्षमाणाmumukṣamāṇā उतuta याyā मुमुच्रे.अधेदेताmumucre.adhedetā नरमन्तेnaramante नितिक्ताःnitiktāḥ ||
Thou didst free rivers swallowed by the Dragon; and rapidly they set themselves in motion,
Those that were loosed and those that longed for freedom. Excited now to speed they run unresting.
10.111.9
सध्रीचीःsadhrīcīḥ सिन्धुमुशतीरिवायनsindhumuśatīrivāyan सनाज्जारsanājjāra आरितःपूर्भिदासामāritaḥpūrbhidāsām |

अस्तमाastamā तेte पार्थिवाpārthivā वसून्यस्मेvasūnyasme जग्मुःसून्र्ताjaghmuḥsūnṛtā इन्द्रindra पूर्वीःpūrvīḥ ||
Yearning together they have sped to Sindhu: the Fort-destroyer, praised, of old, hath loved them.
Indra, may thy terrestrial treasures reach us, and our full songs of joy approach thy dwelling.
10.111.10
