पराग्नये

वर्षभाय

नःपर्षदति
naḥparṣadati
दविषः
dviṣaḥ
||
To Agni send I forth my song, to him the Bull of all the folk:
So may he bear us past our foes.

परस्याः
parasyāḥ
परावतस्तिरो
parāvatastiro
धन्वातिरोचते
dhanvātirocate
|

sa
नःपर्षदति
naḥparṣadati
दविषः
dviṣaḥ
||
Who from the distance far away shines brilliantly across the wastes:
So may he bear us past our foes.

निजूर्वति
nijūrvati
वर्षा

शुक्रेण
śukreṇa
शोचिषा
śociṣā

The Bull with brightly-gleaming flame who utterly consumes the fiends
So may he bear us past our foes.
