कोko मर्ळातिmṛḷāti कतमोkatamo नोno मयसmayas करतkarat कतमkatama ऊतीūtī अभ्याabhyā ववर्ततिvavartati ||
WHAT God, of those who hear, is he whose well-praised name we may record in this our sacrifice; and how?
Who will be gracious? Who of many give us bliss? Who out of all the Host will come to lend us aid?
10.64.1
करतूयन्तिkratūyanti करतवोkratavo हर्त्सुhṛtsu धीतयोdhītayo वेनन्तिvenanti वेनाःvenāḥ पतयन्त्याpatayantyā दिशःdiśaḥ |

नna मर्डिताmarḍitā विद्यतेvidyate अन्यanya एभ्योebhyo देवेषुdeveṣu मेme अधिकामाadhikāmā अयंसतayaṃsata ||
The will and thoughts within my breast exert their power: they yearn with love, and fly to all the regions round.
None other comforter is found save only these: my longings and my hopes are fixt upon the Gods.
10.64.2
नराnarā वाvā शंसंśaṃsaṃ पूषणमगोह्यमग्निंpūṣaṇamaghohyamaghniṃ देवेद्धमभ्यर्चसेdeveddhamabhyarcase गिराghirā |

सूर्यामासाsūryāmāsā चन्द्रमसाcandramasā यमंyamaṃ दिविdivi तरितंवातमुषसमक्तुमश्विनाtritaṃvātamuṣasamaktumaśvinā ||
To Narāśaṁsa and to Pūṣan I sing forth, unconcealable Agni kindied by the Gods.
To Sun and Moon, two Moons, to Yama in the heaven, to Trita, Vāta, Dawn, Night, and the Atvins Twain.
10.64.3
कथाkathā कविस्तुवीरवानkavistuvīravān कयाkayā गिराghirā बर्हस्पतिर्वाव्र्धतेसुव्र्क्तिभिःbṛhaspatirvāvṛdhatesuvṛktibhiḥ |

अजaja एकपातekapāt सुहवेभिरकवभिरहिःsuhavebhirkvabhirahiḥ शर्णोतुबुध्न्योśṛṇotubudhnyo हवीमनिhavīmani ||
How is the Sage extolled whom the loud singers praise? What voice, what hymn is used to laud Bṛhaspati?
May Aja-Ekapād with Rkvans swift to hear, and Ahi of the Deep listen unto our call.
10.64.4
दक्षस्यdakṣasya वादितेvādite जन्मनिjanmani वरतेvrate राजानाrājānā मित्रावरुणाविवाससिmitrāvaruṇāvivāsasi |

अतूर्तपन्थाःatūrtapanthāḥ पुरुरथोpururatho अर्यमाaryamā सप्तहोताविषुरूपेषुsaptahotāviṣurūpeṣu जन्मसुjanmasu ||
Aditi, to the birth of Dakṣa and the vow thou summonest the Kings Mitra and Varuṇa.
With course unchecked, with many chariots Aryaman comes with the seven priests to tribes of varied sort.
10.64.5
तेte नोno अर्वन्तोarvanto हवनश्रुतोhavanaśruto हवंhavaṃ विश्वेviśve शर्ण्वन्तुśṛṇvantu वाजिनोमितद्रवःvājinomitadravaḥ |

सहस्रसाsahasrasā मेधसाताविवmedhasātāviva तमनाtmanā महोmaho येधनंyedhanaṃ समिथेषुsamitheṣu जभ्रिरेjabhrire ||
May all those vigorous Coursers listen to our cry, hearers of invocation, speeding on their way;
Winners of thousands where the priestly meed is won, who gather of themselves great wealth in every race.
10.64.6
परpra वोvo वायुंvāyuṃ रथयुजंrathayujaṃ पुरन्धिंpurandhiṃ सतोमैःstomaiḥ कर्णुध्वंसख्यायkṛṇudhvaṃsakhyāya पूषणमpūṣaṇam |

तेte हिhi देवस्यdevasya सवितुःsavituḥ सवीमनिक्रतुंsavīmanikratuṃ सचन्तेsacante सचितःsacitaḥ सचेतसःsacetasaḥ ||
Bring ye Purandbi, bring Vāyu who yokes his steeds, for friendship bring ye Pūṣan with your songs of praise:
They with one mind, one thought attend the sacrifice, urged by the favouring aid of Savitar the God.
10.64.7
तरिःtriḥ सप्तsapta सस्राsasrā नद्योnadyo महीरपोmahīrapo वनस्पतीनvanaspatīn पर्वतानग्निमूतयेparvatānaghnimūtaye |

कर्शानुमस्तॄनkṛśānumastṝn तिष्यंtiṣyaṃ सधस्थsadhastha आā रुद्रंरुद्रेषुrudraṃrudreṣu रुद्रियंrudriyaṃ हवामहेhavāmahe ||
The thrice-seven wandering Rivers, yea, the mighty floods, the forest trees, the mountains, Agni to our aid,
Kṛśānu, Tisya, archers to our gathering-place, and Rudra strong amid the Rudras we invoke.
10.64.8
सरस्वतीsarasvatī सरयुःsarayuḥ सिन्धुरूर्मिभिर्महोsindhurūrmibhirmaho महीरवसाmahīravasā यन्तुवक्षणीःyantuvakṣaṇīḥ |

देवीरापोdevīrāpo मातरःmātaraḥ सूदयित्न्वोsūdayitnvo घर्तवतghṛtavat पयोमधुमनpayomadhuman नोno अर्चतarcata ||
Let the great Streams come hither with their mighty help, Sindhu, Sarasvatī, and Sarayu with waves.
Ye Goddess Floods, ye Mothers, animating all, promise us water rich in fatness and in balm.
10.64.9
उतuta माताmātā बर्हद्दिवाbṛhaddivā शर्णोतुśṛṇotu नस्त्वष्टाnastvaṣṭā देवेभिर्जनिभिःपिताdevebhirjanibhiḥpitā वचःvacaḥ |

रभुक्षाṛbhukṣā वाजोvājo रथस्पतिर्भगोrathaspatirbhagho रण्वःशण्सःraṇvaḥśaṇsaḥ शशमानस्यśaśamānasya पातुpātu नःnaḥ ||
And let Brhaddiva, the Mother, hear our call, and Tvaṣṭar, Father, with the Goddesses and Dames.
Ṛbhukṣan, Vāja, Bhaga, and Rathaspati, and the sweet speech of him who labours guard us well!
10.64.10
रण्वःraṇvaḥ सन्द्र्ष्टौsandṛṣṭau पितुमानिवpitumāniva कषयोkṣayo भद्राbhadrā रुद्राणाम्मरुतामुपस्तुतिःrudrāṇāmmarutāmupastutiḥ |

गोभिःghobhiḥ षयामṣyāma यशसोyaśaso जनेष्वाjaneṣvā सदादेवासsadādevāsa इळयाiḷayā सचेमहिsacemahi ||
Pleasant to look on as a dwelling rich in food is the blest favour of the Maruts, Rudra's Sons.
May we be famed among the folk for wealth in kine. and ever come to you, ye Gods, with sacred food.
10.64.11
यांyāṃ मेme धियंdhiyaṃ मरुतmaruta इन्द्रindra देवाdevā अददातadadāta वरुणvaruṇa मित्रmitra यूयमyūyam |

तांtāṃ पीपयतpīpayata पयसेवpayaseva धेनुंdhenuṃ कुविदkuvid गिरोghiro अधिadhi रथेवहाथrathevahātha ||
The thought which ye, O Maruts, Indra and ye Gods have given to me, and ye, Mitra and Varuṇa,—
Cause this to grow and swell like a milchcow with milk. Will ye not bear away my songs upon your car?
10.64.12
कुविदङगkuvidaṅgha परतिprati यथाyathā चिदस्यcidasya नःnaḥ सजात्यस्यsajātyasya मरुतोबुबोधथmarutobubodhatha |

नाभाnābhā यत्रyatra परथमंprathamaṃ संनशामहेsaṃnaśāmahe तत्रजामित्वमदितिर्दधातुtatrajāmitvamaditirdadhātu नःnaḥ ||
O Maruts, do ye never, never recollect and call again to mind this our relationship?
When next we meet together at the central point, even there shall Aditi confirm our brotherhood.
10.64.13
तेte हिhi दयावाप्र्थिवीdyāvāpṛthivī मातराmātarā महीmahī देवीdevī देवाञdevāñ जन्मनायज्ञियेjanmanāyajñiye इतःitaḥ |

उभेubhe बिभ्र्तbibhṛta उभयंubhayaṃ भरीमभिःbharīmabhiḥ पुरूरेतांसिpurūretāṃsi पित्र्भिश्चpitṛbhiśca सिञ्चतःsiñcataḥ ||
The Mothers, Heaven and Earth, those mighty Goddesses, worthy of sacrifice, ecune with the race of Gods.
These Two with their support uphold both Gods and men, and with the Fathers pour the copious genial stream.
10.64.14
विvi षाṣā होत्राhotrā विश्वमश्नोतिviśvamaśnoti वार्यंvāryaṃ बर्हस्पतिररमतिःपनीयसीbṛhaspatiraramatiḥpanīyasī |

गरावाghrāvā यत्रyatra मधुषुदुच्यतेmadhuṣuducyate बर्हदवीवशन्तमतिभिर्मनीषिणःbṛhadavīvaśantamatibhirmanīṣiṇaḥ ||
This invocation wins all good that we desire Bṛhaspati, highly-praised Aramati, are here,
Even where the stone that presses meath rings loudly out, and where the sages make their voices heard with hymns.
10.64.15
एवाevā कविस्तुवीरवानkavistuvīravān रतज्ञाṛtajñā दरविणस्युर्द्रविणसश्चकानःdraviṇasyurdraviṇasaścakānaḥ |

उक्थेभिरत्रukthebhiratra मतिभिश्चmatibhiśca विप्रो.अपीपयदvipro.apīpayad गयोदिव्यानिghayodivyāni जन्मjanma ||
Thus hath the sage, skilled in loud singers' duties, desiring riches, yearning after treasure,
Gaya, the priestly singer, with his praises and hymns contented the Celestial people.
10.64.16
एवाevā पलतेःplateḥ सूनुर...sūnur... ||
Thus hath the thoughtful sage the son of Plati, praised you, O Aaiti and all Ādityas.
Men are made rich by those who are Immortal: the Heavenly Folk have been extolled by Gaya.
10.64.17
