अर्चन्तसarcantas तवाtvā हवामहेhavāmahe ऽरचन्तः'rcantaḥ समsam इधीमहिidhīmahi |

अग्नेaghne अर्चन्तarcanta ऊतयेūtaye ||
WITH songs of praise we call on thee, we kindle thee with songs of praise,
Agni, with songs of praise, for help.
5.13.1
अग्नेaghne सतोममstomam मनामहेmanāmahe सिध्रमsidhram अद्यadya दिविस्प्र्शःdivispṛśaḥ |

देवस्यdevasya दरविणस्यवःdraviṇasyavaḥ ||
Eager for wealth, we meditate Agni's effectual praise to-day,
Praise of the God who touches heaven.
5.13.2
अग्निरaghnir जुषतjuṣata नोno गिरोghiro होताhotā योyo मानुषेष्वmānuṣeṣv आā |

सsa यक्षदyakṣad दैव्यंdaivyaṃ जनमjanam ||
May Agni, Priest among mankind, take pleasure in our songs of praise,
And worship the Celestial Folk.
5.13.3
तवमtvam अग्नेaghne सप्रथाsaprathā असिasi जुष्टोjuṣṭo होताhotā वरेण्यःvareṇyaḥ |

तवयाtvayā यज्ञंyajñaṃ विvi तन्वतेtanvate ||
Thou, Agni, art spread widely forth, Priest dear and excellent; through thee
Men make the sacrifice complete.
5.13.4
तवामtvām अग्नेaghne वाजसातमंvājasātamaṃ विप्राviprā वर्धन्तिvardhanti सुष्टुतमsuṣṭutam |

सsa नोno रास्वrāsva सुवीर्यमsuvīryam ||
Singers exalt thee, Agni, well lauded, best giver of our strength:
So grant thou us heroic might.
5.13.5
अग्नेaghne नेमिरnemir अरांarāṃ इवiva देवांसdevāṃs तवमtvam परिभूरparibhūr असिasi |

आā राधशrādhaś चित्रमcitram रञ्जसेṛñjase ||
Thou Agni, as the felly rings the spokes, encompassest the Gods.
I yearn for bounty manifold.
