आā देवानdevān वक्षिvakṣi यक्षिyakṣi चca ||
O AGNI, Holy and Divine, with splendour and thy pleasant tongue
Bring hither and adore the Gods.
5.26.1
तंtaṃ तवाtvā घर्तस्नवghṛtasnav ईमहेīmahe चित्रभानोcitrabhāno सवर्द्र्शमsvardṛśam |

देवांdevāṃ आā वीतयेvītaye वहvaha ||
We pray thee, thou who droppest oil, bright-rayed! who lookest on the Sun,
Bring the Gods hither to the feast.
5.26.2
वीतिहोत्रंvītihotraṃ तवाtvā कवेkave दयुमन्तंdyumantaṃ समsam इधीमहिidhīmahi |

अग्नेaghne बर्हन्तमbṛhantam अध्वरेadhvare ||
We have enkindled thee, O Sage, bright caller of the Gods to feast.
O Agni, great in Sacrifice.
5.26.3
अग्नेaghne विश्वेभिरviśvebhir आā गहिghahi देवेभिरdevebhir हव्यदातयेhavyadātaye |

होतारंhotāraṃ तवाtvā वर्णीमहेvṛṇīmahe ||
O Agni, come with all the Gods, come to our sacrificial gift:
We choose thee as Invoking Priest.
5.26.4
यजमानायyajamānāya सुन्वतsunvata आग्नेāghne सुवीर्यंsuvīryaṃ वहvaha |

देवैरdevair आā सत्सिsatsi बर्हिषिbarhiṣi ||
Bring, Agni, to the worshipper who pours the juice, heroic strength:
Sit with the Gods upon the grass.
5.26.5
समिधानःsamidhānaḥ सहस्रजिदsahasrajid अग्नेaghne धर्माणिdharmāṇi पुष्यसिpuṣyasi |

देवानांdevānāṃ दूतdūta उक्थ्यःukthyaḥ ||
Victor of thousands, Agni, thou, enkindled, cherishest the laws,
Laud-worthy, envoy of the Gods.
5.26.6
नयny अग्निंaghniṃ जातवेदसंjātavedasaṃ होत्रवाहंhotravāhaṃ यविष्ठ्यमyaviṣṭhyam |

दधाताdadhātā देवमdevam रत्विजमṛtvijam ||
Set Agni Jātavedas down, the bearer of our sacred gifts,
MostYouthful, God and Minister.
5.26.7
परpra यज्ञyajña एत्वetv आनुषगānuṣagh अद्याadyā देवव्यचस्तमःdevavyacastamaḥ |

सत्र्णीतstṛṇīta बर्हिरbarhir आसदेāsade ||
Duly proceed our sacrifice, comprising all the Gods, to-day:
Strew holy grass to be their seat.
5.26.8
एदमedam मरुतोmaruto अश्विनाaśvinā मित्रःmitraḥ सीदन्तुsīdantu वरुणःvaruṇaḥ |

देवासःdevāsaḥ सर्वयाsarvayā विशाviśā ||
So may the Maruts sit thereon, the Aśvins, Mitra, Varuṇa:
The Gods with all their company.
