परpra वोvo देवंdevaṃ चितcit सहसानमग्निमश्वंsahasānamaghnimaśvaṃ नna वाजिनंvājinaṃ हिषेhiṣe नमोभिःnamobhiḥ |

भवाbhavā नोno दूतोdūto अध्वरस्यadhvarasya विद्वानvidvān तमनाtmanā देवेषुdeveṣu विविदेvivide मितद्रुःmitadruḥ ||
I SEND forth even your God, victorious Agni, like a strong courser, with mine adoration.
Herald of sacrifice be he who knoweth he hath reached Gods, himself, with measured motion.
7.7.1
आā याह्यग्नेyāhyaghne पथ्याpathyā अनुanu सवाsvā मन्द्रोmandro देवानांdevānāṃ सख्यंsakhyaṃ जुषाणःjuṣāṇaḥ |

आā सानुsānu शुष्मैर्नदयनśuṣmairnadayan पर्थिव्याpṛthivyā जम्भेभिर्विश्वमुशधगjambhebhirviśvamuśadhagh वनानिvanāni ||
By paths that are thine own come hither, Agni, joyous, delighting in the Gods’ alliance,
Making the heights of earth roar with thy fury, burning with eager teeth the woods and forests.
7.7.2
पराचीनोprācīno यज्ञःyajñaḥ सुधितंsudhitaṃ हिhi बर्हिःbarhiḥ परीणीतेprīṇīte अग्निरीळितोaghnirīḷito नna होताhotā |

आā मातराmātarā विश्ववारेviśvavāre हुवानोhuvāno यतोyato यविष्ठyaviṣṭha जज्ञिषेjajñiṣe सुशेवःsuśevaḥ ||
The grass is strewn; the sacrifice advances adored as Priest, Agni is made propitious,
Invoking both All-boon-bestowing Mothers of whom, Most Youthful! thou wast born to help us.
7.7.3
सद्योsadyo अध्वरेadhvare रथिरंrathiraṃ जनन्तjananta मानुषासोmānuṣāso विचेतसोvicetaso यya एषामeṣām |

विशामधायिviśāmadhāyi विश्पतिर्दुरोणे.अग्निर्मन्द्रोviśpatirduroṇe.aghnirmandro मधुवचाmadhuvacā रतावाṛtāvā ||
Forthwith the men, the best of these for wisdom, have made him leader in the solemn worship.
As Lord in homes of men is Agni stablished, the Holy One, the joyous, sweetly speaking.
7.7.4
असादिasādi वर्तोvṛto वह्निराजगन्वानग्निर्ब्रह्माvahnirājaghanvānaghnirbrahmā नर्षदनेnṛṣadane विधर्ताvidhartā |

दयौश्चdyauśca यंyaṃ पर्थिवीpṛthivī वाव्र्धातेvāvṛdhāte आā यंyaṃ होताhotā यजतिyajati विश्ववारमviśvavāram ||
He hath come, chosen bearer, and is seated in man's home, Brahman, Agni, the Supporter,
He whom both Heaven anct Earth exalt and strengthenwhom, Giver of all boons, the Hotar worships.
7.7.5
एतेete दयुम्नेभिर्विश्वमातिरन्तdyumnebhirviśvamātiranta मन्त्रंmantraṃ येye वारंvāraṃ नर्याnaryā अतक्षनatakṣan |

परpra येye विशस्तिरन्तviśastiranta शरोषमाणाśroṣamāṇā आā येye मेme अस्यasya दीधयन्न्र्तस्यdīdhayannṛtasya ||
These have passed all in glory, who, the manly, have wrought with skill the hymn of adoration;
Who, listening, have advanced the people's welfare, and set their thoughts on this my holy statute.
7.7.6
नूnū तवामग्नtvāmaghna ईमहेīmahe वसिष्ठाvasiṣṭhā ईशानंīśānaṃ सूनोsūno सहसोsahaso वसूनामvasūnām |

इषंiṣaṃ सतोत्र्भ्योstotṛbhyo मघवद्भ्यmaghavadbhya आनडānaḍ यूयंyūyaṃ पातpāta सवस्तिभिःsvastibhiḥ सदाsadā नःnaḥ ||
We, the Vasisthas, now implore thee, Agni, O Son of Strength, the Lord of wealth and treasure.
Thou hast brought food to singers and to nobles. Ye Gods, preserve us evermore with blessings.
