उदीरतामवरudīratāmavara उतut परासparāsa उनun मध्यमाःmadhyamāḥ पितरःसोम्यासःpitaraḥsomyāsaḥ |

असुंasuṃ यya ईयुरव्र्काīyuravṛkā रतज्ञास्तेṛtajñāste नो.अवन्तुपितरोno.avantupitaro हवेषुhaveṣu ||
MAY they ascend, the lowest, highest, midmost, the Fathers who deserve a share of Soma-
May they who have attained the life of spirits, gentle and righteous, aid us when we call them.
10.15.1
इदंidaṃ पित्र्भ्योpitṛbhyo नमोnamo अस्त्वद्यastvadya येye पूर्वासोpūrvāso यya उपरासuparāsa ईयुःīyuḥ |

येye पार्थिवेpārthive रजस्याrajasyā निषत्ताniṣattā येye वाvā नूनंnūnaṃ सुव्र्जनासुविक्षुsuvṛjanāsuvikṣu ||
Now let us pay this homage to the Fathers, to those who passed of old and those who followed,
Those who have rested in the earthly region, and those who dwell among the Mighty Races.
10.15.2
आहंāhaṃ पितॄनpitṝn सुविदत्रानवित्सिsuvidatrānavitsi नपातंnapātaṃ चca विक्रमणंvikramaṇaṃ चविष्णोःcaviṣṇoḥ |

बर्हिषदोbarhiṣado येye सवधयाsvadhayā सुतस्यsutasya भजन्तbhajanta पित्वस्तैहागमिष्ठाःpitvastaihāghamiṣṭhāḥ ||
1 have attained the gracious-minded Fathers, I have gained son and progeny from Viṣṇu.
They who enjoy pressed juices with oblation seated on sacred grass, come oftenest hither.
10.15.3
बर्हिषदःbarhiṣadaḥ पितरpitara ऊत्यर्वागिमाūtyarvāghimā वोvo हव्याhavyā चक्र्माcakṛmā जुषध्वमjuṣadhvam |

तta आā गतावसाghatāvasā शन्तमेनाथाśantamenāthā नःnaḥ शंśaṃ योररपोदधातyorarapodadhāta ||
Fathers who sit on sacred grass, come, help us: these offerings have we made for you; accept them.
So come to us with most auspicious favour, and give us health and strength without a trouble.
10.15.4
उपहूताःupahūtāḥ पितरःpitaraḥ सोम्यासोsomyāso बर्हिष्येषुbarhiṣyeṣu निधिषुnidhiṣu परियेषुpriyeṣu |

तta आā गमन्तुghamantu तta इहiha शरुवन्त्वधिśruvantvadhi बरुवन्तुbruvantu ते.अवन्त्वस्मानte.avantvasmān ||
May they, the Fathers, worthy of the Soma, invited to their favourite oblations.
Laid on the sacred grass, come nigh and listen: may they be gracious unto us and bless us.
10.15.5
आच्याācyā जानुjānu दक्षिणतोdakṣiṇato निषद्येमंniṣadyemaṃ यज्ञमभिyajñamabhi गर्णीतविश्वेghṛṇītaviśve |

माmā हिंसिष्टhiṃsiṣṭa पितरःpitaraḥ केनkena चिनcin नोno यदyad वva आगःपुरुषताāghaḥpuruṣatā करामkarāma ||
Bowing your bended knees and seated southward, accept this sacrifice of ours with favour.
Punish us not for any sin, O Fathers, which we through human frailty have committed.
10.15.6
आसीनासोāsīnāso अरुणीनामुपस्थेaruṇīnāmupasthe रयिंrayiṃ धत्तdhatta दाशुषेdāśuṣe मर्त्यायmartyāya |

पुत्रेभ्यःputrebhyaḥ पितरस्तस्यpitarastasya वस्वःvasvaḥ परpra यछतyachata तta इहोर्जन्दधातihorjandadhāta ||
Lapped in the bosom of the purple Mornings, give riches to the man who brings oblations.
Grant to your sons a portion of that treasure, and, present, give them energy, ye Fathers.
10.15.7
येye नःnaḥ पूर्वेpūrve पितरःpitaraḥ सोम्यासो.अनूहिरेsomyāso.anūhire सोमपीथंवसिष्ठाःsomapīthaṃvasiṣṭhāḥ |

तेभिर्यमःtebhiryamaḥ संरराणोsaṃrarāṇo हवींष्युशन्नुशद्भिःhavīṃṣyuśannuśadbhiḥ परतिकाममत्तुpratikāmamattu ||
Our ancient Fathers who deserve the Soma, who came, most noble, to our Soma banquet,—
With these let Yama, yearning with the yearning, rejoicing eat our offerings at his pleasure.
10.15.8
येye तात्र्षुर्देवत्राtātṛṣurdevatrā जेहमानाjehamānā होत्राविदhotrāvida सतोमतष्टासोर्कैःstomataṣṭāsoarkaiḥ |

आग्नेāghne याहिyāhi सुविदत्रेभिरर्वांsuvidatrebhirarvāṃ सत्यैःsatyaiḥ कव्यैःपित्र्भिर्घर्मसद्भिःkavyaiḥpitṛbhirgharmasadbhiḥ ||
Come to us, Agni, with the gracioug Fathers who dwell in glowing light, the very Kavyas,
Who thirsted mid the Gods, who hasten hither, oblation winners, theme of singers' praises.
10.15.9
येye सत्यासोsatyāso हविरदोhavirado हविष्पाhaviṣpā इद्रेणidreṇa देवैःdevaiḥ सरथन्दधानाःsarathandadhānāḥ |

आग्नेāghne याहिyāhi सहस्रंsahasraṃ देववन्दैःdevavandaiḥ परैःपूर्वैःparaiḥpūrvaiḥ पित्र्भिर्घर्मसद्भिःpitṛbhirgharmasadbhiḥ ||
Come, Agni, come with countless ancient Fathers, dwellers in light, primeval, God-adorers,
Eaters and drinkers of oblations, truthful, who travel with the Deities and Indra.
10.15.10
अग्निष्वात्ताःaghniṣvāttāḥ पितरpitara एहeha गछतghachata सदः-सदःsadaḥ-sadaḥ सदतसुप्रणीतयःsadatasupraṇītayaḥ |

अत्ताattā हवींषिhavīṃṣi परयतानिprayatāni बर्हिष्यथारयिंbarhiṣyathārayiṃ सर्ववीरंsarvavīraṃ दधातनdadhātana ||
Fathers whom Agni's flames have tasted, come ye nigh: ye kindly leaders, take ye each your proper place.
Eat sacrificial food presented on the grass: grant riches with a multitude of hero sons.
10.15.11
तवमग्नtvamaghna ईळितोīḷito जातवेदो.अवाडjātavedo.avāḍ ढव्यानिḍhavyāni सुरभीणिक्र्त्वीsurabhīṇikṛtvī |

परादाःprādāḥ पित्र्भ्यःpitṛbhyaḥ सवधयाsvadhayā तेte अक्षन्नद्धिakṣannaddhi तवन्देवtvandeva परयताprayatā हवींषिhavīṃṣi ||
Thou, Agni Jātavedas, when entreated, didst bear the offerings which thou madest fragrant,
And give them to the Fathers who did cat them with Svadha. Eat, thou God, the gifts we bring thee.
10.15.12
येye चेहceha पितरोpitaro येye चca नेहneha यांश्चyāṃśca विद्मvidma यानुyānu चca नप्रविद्मnapravidma |

तवंtvaṃ वेत्थvettha यतिyati तेte जातवेदःjātavedaḥ सवधाभिर्यज्ञंsvadhābhiryajñaṃ सुक्र्तंsukṛtaṃ जुषस्वjuṣasva ||
Thou, Jātavedas, knowest well the number of Fathers who are here and who are absent,
Of Fathers whom we know and whom we know not: accept the sacrifice wellprepared with portions.
10.15.13
येye अग्निदग्धाaghnidaghdhā येye अनग्निदग्धाanaghnidaghdhā मध्येmadhye दिवःdivaḥ सवधयामादयन्तेsvadhayāmādayante |

तेभिःtebhiḥ सवराळsvarāḷ असुनीतिमेतांasunītimetāṃ यथावशन्तन्वंyathāvaśantanvaṃ कल्पयस्वkalpayasva ||
They who, consumed by fire or not cremated, joy in their offering in the midst of heaven,—
Grant them, O Sovran Lord, the world of spirits and their own body, as thy pleasure wills it.
