देवानdevān हुवेhuve बर्हच्छ्रवसःbṛhacchravasaḥ सवस्तयेsvastaye जयोतिष्क्र्तोjyotiṣkṛto अध्वरस्यप्रचेतसःadhvarasyapracetasaḥ |

येye वाव्र्धुःvāvṛdhuḥ परतरंprataraṃ विश्ववेदसैन्द्रज्येष्ठासोviśvavedasaindrajyeṣṭhāso अम्र्ताamṛtā रताव्र्धःṛtāvṛdhaḥ ||
I CALL the Gods of lofty glory for our weal, the makers of the light, well-skilled in sacrifice;
Those who have waxen mightily, Masters of all wealth, Immortal, strengthening Law, the Gods whom Indra leads.
10.66.1
इन्द्रप्रसूताindraprasūtā वरुणप्रशिष्टाvaruṇapraśiṣṭā येye सूर्यस्यsūryasya जयोतिषोjyotiṣo भागमानशुःbhāghamānaśuḥ |

मरुद्गणेmarudghaṇe वर्जनेvṛjane मन्मmanma धीमहिdhīmahi माघोनेmāghone यज्ञंजनयन्तyajñaṃjanayanta सूरयःsūrayaḥ ||
For the strong band of Maruts will we frame a hymn: the chiefs shall bring forth sacrifice for Indra's troop,
Who, sent by Indra and advised by Varuṇa, have gotten for themselves a share of Sūrya's light
10.66.2
इन्द्रोindro वसुभिःvasubhiḥ परिpari पातुpātu नोno गयमादित्यैर्नोghayamādityairno अदितःaditḥ शर्मयछ्तुśarmayachtu |

रुद्रोrudro रुद्रेभिर्देवोrudrebhirdevo मर्ळयातिmṛḷayāti नस्त्वष्टाnastvaṣṭā नोग्नाभिःnoghnābhiḥ सुवितायsuvitāya जिन्वतुjinvatu ||
May Indra with the Vasus keep our dwelling safe, and Aditi with Ādityas lend us sure defence.
May the God Rudra with the Rudras favour us, and Tvaṣṭar with the Dames further us to success.
10.66.3
अदितिर्द्यावाप्र्थिवीaditirdyāvāpṛthivī रतंṛtaṃ महदिन्द्राविष्णूmahadindrāviṣṇū मरुतःस्वर्ब्र्हतmarutaḥsvarbṛhat |

देवानादित्यानवसेdevānādityānavase हवामहेhavāmahe वसूनvasūn रुद्रांसवितारंrudrāṃsavitāraṃ सुदंससमsudaṃsasam ||
Aditi, Heaven and Earth, the great eternal Law, Indra, Viṣṇu, the Maruts, and the lofty Sky.
We call upon Ādityas, on the Gods, for help, on Vasus, Rudras, Savitar of wondrous deeds.
10.66.4
सरस्वानsarasvān धीभिर्वरुणोdhībhirvaruṇo धर्तव्रतःdhṛtavratḥ पूषाpūṣā विष्णुर्महिमावायुरश्विनाviṣṇurmahimāvāyuraśvinā |

बरह्मक्र्तोbrahmakṛto अम्र्ताamṛtā विश्ववेदसःviśvavedasaḥ शर्मśarma नोयंसनnoyaṃsan तरिवरूथमंहसःtrivarūthamaṃhasaḥ ||
With Holy Thoughts Sarasvān, firm-lawed Varuṇa, great Vāyu, Pūṣan, Viṣṇu, and the Aśvins Twain,
Lords of all wealth, Immortal, furtherers of prayer, grant us a triply-guarding refuge from distress.
10.66.5
वर्षाvṛṣā यज्ञोyajño वर्षणःvṛṣaṇaḥ सन्तुsantu यज्ञियाyajñiyā वर्षणोvṛṣaṇo देवाव्र्षणोdevāvṛṣaṇo हविष्क्र्तःhaviṣkṛtaḥ |

वर्षणाvṛṣaṇā दयावाप्र्थिवीdyāvāpṛthivī रतावरीव्र्षाṛtāvarīvṛṣā पर्जन्योparjanyo वर्षणोvṛṣaṇo वर्षस्तुभःvṛṣastubhaḥ ||
Strong be the sacrifice, strong be the Holy Ones, strong the preparers of oblation, strong the Gods.
Mighty be Heaven and Earth, true to eternal Law, strong be Parjanya, strong be they who laud the Strong.
10.66.6
अग्नीषोमाaghnīṣomā वर्षणाvṛṣaṇā वाजसातयेvājasātaye पुरुप्रशस्ताpurupraśastā वर्षणाvṛṣaṇā उपब्रुवेupabruve |

यावीजिरेyāvījire वर्षणोvṛṣaṇo देवयज्ययाdevayajyayā ताtā नःnaḥ शर्मत्रिवरूथंśarmatrivarūthaṃ विvi यंसतःyaṃsataḥ ||
To win us strength I glorify the Mighty Twain, Agni and Soma, Mighty Ones whom many laud.
May these vouchsafe us shelter with a triple guard, these whom the strong have served in worship of the Gods.
10.66.7
धर्तव्रताःdhṛtavratāḥ कषत्रियाkṣatriyā यज्ञनिष्क्र्तोyajñaniṣkṛto बर्हद्दिवाbṛhaddivā अध्वराणामभिश्रियःadhvarāṇāmabhiśriyaḥ |

अग्निहोतारaghnihotāra रतसापोṛtasāpo अद्रुहो.अपोadruho.apo अस्र्जन्ननुव्र्त्रतूर्येasṛjannanuvṛtratūrye ||
Potent, with firm-fixt laws, arranging sacrifice, visiting solemn rites in splendour of the day,
Obeying Order, these whose priest is Agni, free from falsehood, poured the waters out when Vṛtra died.
10.66.8
दयावाप्र्थिवीdyāvāpṛthivī जनयन्नभिjanayannabhi वरतापvratāpa ओषधीर्वनिनानियज्ञियाoṣadhīrvanināniyajñiyā |

अन्तरिक्षंantarikṣaṃ सवराsvarā पप्रुरूतयेpaprurūtaye वशंvaśaṃ देवासस्तन्वीdevāsastanvī निni माम्र्जुःmāmṛjuḥ ||
The Holy Ones engendered, for their several laws, the heavens and earth, the waters, and the plants and trees.
They filled the firmament with heavenly light for help: the Gods embodied Wish and made it beautiful.
10.66.9
धर्तारोdhartāro दिवdiva रभवःṛbhavaḥ सुहस्ताsuhastā वातापर्जन्याvātāparjanyā महिषस्यतन्यतोःmahiṣasyatanyatoḥ |

आपāpa ओषधीःoṣadhīḥ परpra तिरन्तुtirantu नोno गिरोghiro भगोbhagho रातिर्वाजिनोrātirvājino यन्तुyantu मेme हवमhavam ||
May they who bear up heaven, the Ṛbhus deft of hand, and Vāta and Parjanya of the thundering Bull,
The waters and the plants, promote the songs we sing: come Bhaga, Rati, and the Vaijns to my call.
10.66.10
समुद्रःsamudraḥ सिन्धूsindhū रजोrajo अन्तरिक्षमजantarikṣamaja एकपातekapāt तनयित्नुरर्णवःtanayitnurarṇavaḥ |

अहिर्बुध्न्यःahirbudhnyaḥ शर्णवदśṛṇavad वचांसिvacāṃsi मेme विश्वेviśve देवासौतdevāsauta सूरयोsūrayo ममmama ||
Sindhu, the sea, the region, and the firmament, the thunder, and the ocean, Aja-Ekapād,
The Dragon of the Deep, shall listen to my words, and all the Deities and Princes shall give ear.
10.66.11
सयामsyāma वोvo मनवोmanavo देववीतयेdevavītaye पराञ्चंprāñcaṃ नोno यज्ञंyajñaṃ परpra णयतसाधुयाṇayatasādhuyā |

आदित्याādityā रुद्राrudrā वसवःvasavaḥ सुदानवsudānava इमाimā बरह्मशस्यमानानिbrahmaśasyamānāni जिन्वतjinvata ||
May we, be yours, we men, to entertain the Gods: further our sacrifice and give it full success.
Ādityas, Rudras, Vasus, givers of good gifts, quicken the holy hymns which we are singing now
10.66.12
दैव्याdaivyā होताराhotārā परथमाprathamā पुरोहितpurohita रतस्यṛtasya पन्थामन्वेमिसाधुयाpanthāmanvemisādhuyā |

कषेत्रस्यkṣetrasya पतिंpatiṃ परतिवेशमीमहेprativeśamīmahe विश्वानviśvān देवानम्र्तानप्रयुछतःdevānamṛtānaprayuchataḥ ||
I follow with success upon the path of Law the two celestial Hotars, Priests of oldest time.
We pray to him who dwelleth near, Guard of the Field, to all Immortal Gods who never are remiss.
10.66.13
वसिष्ठासःvasiṣṭhāsaḥ पित्र्वदpitṛvad वाचमक्रतvācamakrata देवानीळानाdevānīḷānā रषिवत्स्वस्तयेṛṣivatsvastaye |

परीताprītā इवiva जञातयःjñātayaḥ काममेत्यास्मेkāmametyāsme देवासो.अवधूनुताdevāso.avadhūnutā वसुvasu ||
Vasiṣṭha's sons have raised their voices, like their sire. Ṛṣi-like praying to the Gods for happiness.
Like friendly-minded kinsmen, come at our desire, O Gods, and shake down treasures on us from above.
10.66.14
देवानdevān वसिष्ठोvasiṣṭho अम्र्तानamṛtān ववन्देvavande ...... ||
Immortal Gods have I, Vasiṣṭha, lauded, Gods set on high above all other beings.
May they this day grant us wide space and freedom: ye Gods, preserve us evermore with blessings.
10.66.15
