YOUR well-known prompt activities aforetime needed no impulse from your faithful servant.
Where, Indra-Varuṇa, is now that glory wherewith ye brought support to those who loved you?
3.62.1
अयमुayamu वांvāṃ पुरुतमोpurutamo रयीयञ्छश्वत्तममवसेrayīyañchaśvattamamavase जोहवीतिjohavīti |

सजोषाविन्द्रावरुणाsajoṣāvindrāvaruṇā मरुद्भिर्दिवाmarudbhirdivā पर्थिव्याpṛthivyā शर्णुतंśṛṇutaṃ हवम्मेhavamme ||
This man, most diligent, seeking after riches, incessantly invokes you for your favour.
Accordant, Indra-Varuṇa, with Maruts, with Heaven and Earth, hear ye mine invocation.
3.62.2
अस्मेasme तदिन्द्रावरुणाtadindrāvaruṇā वसुvasu षयादस्मेṣyādasme रयिर्मरुतःrayirmarutaḥ सर्ववीरःsarvavīraḥ |

अस्मानasmān वरूत्रीःvarūtrīḥ शरणैरवन्त्वस्मानśaraṇairavantvasmān होत्राhotrā भारतीbhāratī दक्षिणाभिःdakṣiṇābhiḥ ||
O Indra-Varuṇa, ours be this treasure ours be wealth, Maruts, with full store of heroes.
May the Varūtrīs with their shelter aid us, and Bhāratī and Hotrā with the Mornings.
3.62.3
बर्हस्पतेbṛhaspate जुषस्वjuṣasva नोno हव्यानिhavyāni विश्वदेव्यviśvadevya |

रास्वrāsva रत्नानिratnāni दाशुषेdāśuṣe ||
Be pleased! with our oblations, thou loved of all Gods, Bṛhaspati:
Give wealth to him who brings thee gifts.
3.62.4
शुचिमर्कैर्ब्र्हस्पतिमध्वरेषुśucimarkairbṛhaspatimadhvareṣu नमस्यतnamasyata |

अनाम्योजanāmyoja आचकेācake ||
At sacrifices, with your hymns worship the pure Bṛhaspati—
I pray for power which none may bend—
3.62.5
वर्षभंvṛṣabhaṃ चर्षणीनांcarṣaṇīnāṃ विश्वरूपमदाभ्यमviśvarūpamadābhyam |

बर्हस्पतिंवरेण्यमbṛhaspatiṃvareṇyam ||
The Bull of men, whom none deceive, the wearer of each shape at will,
Bṛhaspati Most Excellent.
3.62.6
इयंiyaṃ तेte पूषन्नाघ्र्णेpūṣannāghṛṇe सुष्टुतिर्देवsuṣṭutirdeva नव्यसीnavyasī |

अस्माभिस्तुभ्यंasmābhistubhyaṃ शस्यतेśasyate ||
Divine, resplendent Pūṣan, this our newest hymn of eulogy,
By us is chanted forth to thee.
3.62.7
तांtāṃ जुषस्वjuṣasva गिरंghiraṃ ममmama वाजयन्तीमवाvājayantīmavā धियमdhiyam |

वधूयुरिवvadhūyuriva योषणामyoṣaṇām ||
Accept with favour this my song, be gracious to the earnest thought,
Even as a bridegroom to his bride.
3.62.8
योyo विश्वाभिviśvābhi विपश्यतिvipaśyati भुवनाbhuvanā संsaṃ चca पश्यतिpaśyati |

सsa नःnaḥ पूषाविताpūṣāvitā भुवतbhuvat ||
May he who sees all living things, see, them together at a glance,—
May he, may Pūṣan be our help.
3.62.9
ततtat सवितुर्वरेण्यंsaviturvareṇyaṃ भर्गोbhargho देवस्यdevasya धीमहिdhīmahi |

धियोdhiyo योyo नःnaḥ परचोदयातpracodayāt ||
May we attain that excellent glory of Savitar the God:
So May he stimulate our prayers.
3.62.10
देवस्यdevasya सवितुर्वयंsaviturvayaṃ वाजयन्तःvājayantaḥ पुरन्ध्याpurandhyā |

भगस्यbhaghasya रातिमीमहेrātimīmahe ||
With understanding, earnestly, of Savitar the God we crave
Our portion of prosperity.
3.62.11
देवंdevaṃ नरःnaraḥ सवितारंsavitāraṃ विप्राviprā यज्ञैःyajñaiḥ सुव्र्क्तिभिःsuvṛktibhiḥ |

नमस्यन्तिnamasyanti धियेषिताःdhiyeṣitāḥ ||
Men, singers worship Savitar the God with hymn and holy rites,
Urged by the impulse of their thoughts.
3.62.12
सोमोsomo जिगातिjighāti गातुविदghātuvid देवानामेतिdevānāmeti निष्क्र्तमniṣkṛtam |

रतस्यṛtasya योनिमासदमyonimāsadam ||
Soma who gives success goes forth, goes to the gathering place of Gods,
To seat him at the seat of Law.
3.62.13
सोमोsomo अस्मभ्यंasmabhyaṃ दविपदेdvipade चतुष्पदेcatuṣpade चca पशवेpaśave |

अनमीवाanamīvā इषसiṣas करतkarat ||
To us and to our cattle may Soma give salutary food,
To biped and to quadruped.
3.62.14
अस्माकमायुर्वर्धयन्नभिमातीःasmākamāyurvardhayannabhimātīḥ सहमानःsahamānaḥ |

सोमःsomaḥ सधस्थमासदतsadhasthamāsadat ||
May Soma, strengthening our power of life, and conquering our foes,
In our assembly take his seat.
3.62.15
आā नोno मित्रावरुणाmitrāvaruṇā घर्तैर्गव्यूतिमुक्षतमghṛtairghavyūtimukṣatam |

मध्वाmadhvā रजांसिrajāṃsi सुक्रतूsukratū ||
May Mitra-Varuṇa, sapient Pair, bedew our pasturage with oil,
With meatb the regions of the air.
3.62.16
उरुशंसाuruśaṃsā नमोव्र्धाnamovṛdhā मह्नाmahnā दक्षस्यdakṣasya राजथःrājathaḥ |

दराघिष्ठाभिःdrāghiṣṭhābhiḥ शुचिव्रताśucivratā ||
Far-ruling, joyful when adored, ye reign through majesty of might,
With pure laws everlastingly.
3.62.17
गर्णानाghṛṇānā जमदग्निनाjamadaghninā योनावyonāv रतस्यṛtasya सीदतमsīdatam |

पातंpātaṃ सोमंsomaṃ रताव्र्धाṛtāvṛdhā ||
Lauded by Jamadagni's song, sit in the place of holy Law:
