अग्नेaghne तवंtvaṃ नोno अन्तमantama उतuta तराताtrātā शिवोśivo भवाbhavā वरूथ्यःvarūthyaḥ ||
O AGNI, be our nearest Friend, be thou a kind deliverer and a gracious Friend.
5.24.1
वसुरvasur अग्निरaghnir वसुश्रवाvasuśravā अछाachā नक्षिnakṣi दयुमत्तमंdyumattamaṃ रयिंrayiṃ दाःdāḥ ||
Excellent Agni, come thou nigh to us, and give us wealth most splendidly renowned.
5.24.2
सsa नोno बोधिbodhi शरुधीśrudhī हवमhavam उरुष्याuruṣyā णोṇo अघायतःaghāyataḥ समस्मातsamasmāt ||
So hear us, listen to this call of ours, and keep us far from every sinful man.
5.24.3
तंtaṃ तवाtvā शोचिष्ठśociṣṭha दीदिवःdīdivaḥ सुम्नायsumnāya नूनमnūnam ईमहेīmahe सखिभ्यःsakhibhyaḥ ||
To thee then, O Most Bright, O Radiant God, we come with prayer for happiness for our friends.
