अगन्मaghanma महाmahā नमसाnamasā यविष्ठंyaviṣṭhaṃ योyo दीदायdīdāya समिद्धःsamiddhaḥ सवेsve दुरोणेduroṇe |

चित्रभानुंcitrabhānuṃ रोदसीrodasī अन्तरुर्वीantarurvī सवाहुतंsvāhutaṃ विश्वतःviśvataḥ परत्यञ्चमpratyañcam ||
WE with great reverence have approached The Youngest who hath shone forth well-kindled in his dwelling,
With wondrous light between wide earth and heaven, well-worshipped, looking forth in all directions.
7.12.1
सsa मह्नाmahnā विश्वाviśvā दुरितानिduritāni साह्वानग्निःsāhvānaghniḥ षटवेṣṭave दमdama आā जातवेदाःjātavedāḥ |

सsa नोno रक्षिषदrakṣiṣad दुरितादवद्यादस्मानduritādavadyādasmān गर्णतghṛṇata उतuta नोno मघोनःmaghonaḥ ||
Through his great might o’ercoming all misfortunes, praised in the house is Agni Jātavedas.
May he protect us from disgrace and trouble, both us who laud him and our noble patrons.

तवंtvaṃ वरुणvaruṇa उतuta मित्रोmitro अग्नेaghne तवांtvāṃ वर्धन्तिvardhanti मतिभिर्वसिष्ठाःmatibhirvasiṣṭhāḥ |

तवेtve वसुvasu सुषणनानिsuṣaṇanāni सन्तुsantu यूयंyūyaṃ पातpāta ...... ||
O Agni, thou art Varuṇa and Mitra: Vasisthas with their holy hymns exalt thee.
With thee be most abundant gain of treasure. Ye Gods, preserve us evermore with blessings.
