पवस्वpavasva देववीरतिdevavīrati पवित्रंpavitraṃ सोमsoma रंह्याraṃhyā |

इन्द्रमिन्दोindramindo वर्षाvṛṣā विशviśa ||
Soma, flow on, inviting Gods, speed to the purifying cloth:
Pass into Indra, as a Bull.
9.2.1
आā वच्यस्वvacyasva महिmahi पसरोpsaro वर्षेन्दोvṛṣendo दयुम्नवत्तमःdyumnavattamaḥ |

आā योनिंyoniṃ धर्णसिःdharṇasiḥ सदःsadaḥ ||
As mighty food speed hitherward, Indu, as a most splendid Steer:
Sit in thy place as one with strength.
9.2.2
अधुक्षतadhukṣata परियंpriyaṃ मधुmadhu धाराdhārā सुतस्यsutasya वेधसःvedhasaḥ |

अपोapo वसिष्टvasiṣṭa सुक्रतुःsukratuḥ ||
The well-loved meath was made to flow, the stream of the creative juice
ne Sage drew waters to himself.
9.2.3
महान्तंmahāntaṃ तवाtvā महीरन्वापोmahīranvāpo अर्षन्तिarṣanti सिन्धवःsindhavaḥ |

यदyad गोभिर्वासयिष्यसेghobhirvāsayiṣyase ||
The mighty waters, yea, the floods accompany thee Mighty One,
When thou wilt clothe thee with the milk.
9.2.4
समुद्रोsamudro अप्सुapsu माम्र्जेmāmṛje विष्टम्भोviṣṭambho धरुणोdharuṇo दिवःdivaḥ |

सोमःsomaḥ पवित्रेpavitre अस्मयुःasmayuḥ ||
The lake is brightened in the floods. Soma, our Friend, heaven's prop and stay,
Falls on the purifying cloth.
9.2.5
अचिक्रददacikradad वर्षाvṛṣā हरिर्महानharirmahān मित्रोmitro नna दर्शतःdarśataḥ |

संsaṃ सूर्येणsūryeṇa रोचतेrocate ||
The tawny Bull hath bellowed, fair as mighty Mitra to behold:
He shines together with the Sun.
9.2.6
गिरस्तghirasta इन्दinda ओजसाojasā मर्म्र्ज्यन्तेmarmṛjyante अपस्युवःapasyuvaḥ |

याभिर्मदायyābhirmadāya शुम्भसेśumbhase ||
Songs, Indu, active in their might are beautified for thee, wherewith
Thou deckest thee for our delight.
9.2.7
तंtaṃ तवाtvā मदायmadāya घर्ष्वयghṛṣvaya उu लोकक्र्त्नुमीमहेlokakṛtnumīmahe |

तवtava परशस्तयोpraśastayo महीःmahīḥ ||
To thee who givest ample room we pray, to win the joyous draught:
Great are the praise& due to thee.
9.2.8
अस्मभ्यमिन्दविन्द्रयुर्मध्वःasmabhyamindavindrayurmadhvaḥ पवस्वpavasva धारयाdhārayā |

पर्जन्योparjanyo वर्ष्टिमानिवvṛṣṭimāniva ||
Indu as, Indra's Friend, on us pour with a stream of sweetness, like
Parjanya sender of the rain.
9.2.9
गोषाghoṣā इन्दोindo नर्षाnṛṣā अस्यश्वसाasyaśvasā वाजसाvājasā उतuta |

आत्माātmā यज्ञस्यyajñasya पूर्व्यःpūrvyaḥ ||
Winner of kine, Indu, art thou, winner of heroes, steeds, and strength
Primeval Soul of sacrifice.
