सनाsanā चca सोमsoma जेषिjeṣi चca पवमानpavamāna महिmahi शरवःśravaḥ |

अथाathā नोno वस्यससvasyasas कर्धिkṛdhi ||
O Soma flowing on thy way, win thou and conquer high renown;
And make us better than we are.

सनाsanā जयोतिःjyotiḥ सनाsanā सवर्विश्वाsvarviśvā चca सोमsoma सौभगाsaubhaghā |

Win thou the light, win heavenly light, and, Soma, all felicities;
And make us better than we are.

सनाsanā दक्षमुतdakṣamuta करतुमपkratumapa सोमsoma मर्धोmṛdho जहिjahi |

Win skilful strength and mental power. O Soma, drive away our foes;
And make us better than we are.

पवीतारःpavītāraḥ पुनीतनpunītana सोममिन्द्रायsomamindrāya पातवेpātave |

Ye purifiers, purify Soma for Indra, for his drink:
Make thou us better than we are.

तवंtvaṃ सूर्येsūrye नna आā भजbhaja तवtava करत्वाkratvā तवोतिभिःtavotibhiḥ |

Give us our portion in the Sun through thine own mental power and aids;
And make us better than we are.

तवtava करत्वाkratvā तवोतिभिर्ज्योकtavotibhirjyok पश्येमpaśyema सूर्यमsūryam |

Through thine own mental power and aid long may we look upon the Sun;
Make thou us better than we are.

अभ्यर्षabhyarṣa सवायुधsvāyudha सोमsoma दविबर्हसंdvibarhasaṃ रयिमrayim |

Well-weaponed Soma, pour to usa stream of riches doubly great;
And make us better than we are.
9.4.7
अभ्यर्षानपच्युतोabhyarṣānapacyuto रयिंrayiṃ समत्सुsamatsu सासहिःsāsahiḥ |

As one victorious unsubdued in battle pour forth wealth to us;
And make us better than we are.

तवांtvāṃ यज्ञैरवीव्र्धनyajñairavīvṛdhan पवमानpavamāna विधर्मणिvidharmaṇi |

By worship, Pavamana! men have strengthened thee to prop the Law:
Make thou us better than we are.

रयिंrayiṃ नश्चित्रमश्विनमिन्दोnaścitramaśvinamindo विश्वायमाviśvāyamā भरbhara |

अथाathā .... .. ||
O Indu, bring us wealth in steeds, manifold. quickening all life;
And mate us better than we are.
