HYMN XL. SOMA PAVAMANA.


पुनानोpunāno अक्रमीदभिakramīdabhi विश्वाviśvā मर्धोmṛdho विचर्षणिःvicarṣaṇiḥ |

शुम्भन्तिśumbhanti विप्रंvipraṃ धीतिभिःdhītibhiḥ ||

THE Very Active hath assailed, while purified, all enemies:
They deck the Sage with holy songs.
9.40.1

आā योनिमरुणोyonimaruṇo रुहदruhad गमदिन्द्रंghamadindraṃ वर्षाvṛṣā सुतःsutaḥ |

धरुवेdhruve सदसिsadasi सीदतिsīdati ||

The Red hath mounted to his place; to India, goes the mighty juice:
He settles in his firm abode.
9.40.2

नूnū नोno रयिंrayiṃ महामिन्दो.अस्मभ्यंmahāmindo.asmabhyaṃ सोमsoma विश्वतःviśvataḥ |

आā पवस्वसहस्रिणमpavasvasahasriṇam ||

O Indu, Soma, send us now great opulence from every side, Pour on us treasures thousandfold.
9.40.3

विश्वाviśvā सोमsoma पवमानpavamāna दयुम्नानीन्दवाdyumnānīndavā भरbhara |

विदाःvidāḥ सहस्रिणीरिषःsahasriṇīriṣaḥ ||

O Soma Pavamana, bring, Indu, all splcndours hitherward:
Find for us food in boundless store.
9.40.4

सsa नःnaḥ पुनानpunāna आā भरbhara रयिंrayiṃ सतोत्रेstotre सुवीर्यमsuvīryam |

जरितुर्वर्धयाjariturvardhayā गिरःghiraḥ ||

As thou art cleansed, bring hero strength and riches to thy worshipper,
And prosper thou the singer's hymns.
9.40.5

पुनानpunāna इन्दवाindavā भरbhara सोमsoma दविबर्हसंdvibarhasaṃ रयिमrayim |

वर्षन्निन्दोvṛṣannindo नौक्थ्यमnaukthyam ||

O Indu, Soma, being cleansed, bring hither riches doublypiled,
Wealth, mighty Indu, meet for lauds.
