HYMN L. SOMA PAVAMANA.


उतut तेte शुष्मासśuṣmāsa ईरतेīrate सिन्धोरूर्मेरिवsindhorūrmeriva सवनःsvanaḥ |

वाणस्यvāṇasya चोदयाcodayā पविमpavim ||

LOUD as a river's roaring wave thy powers have lifted up themselves:
Urge on thine arrow's sharpened point.
9.50.1

परसवेprasave तta उदीरतेudīrate तिस्रोtisro वाचोvāco मखस्युवःmakhasyuvaḥ |

यदव्यyadavya एषिसानविeṣisānavi ||

At thine effusion upward rise three voices full of joy, when thou
Flowest upon the fleecy ridge.
9.50.2

अव्योavyo वारेvāre परिpari परियंpriyaṃ हरिंhariṃ हिन्वन्त्यद्रिभिःhinvantyadribhiḥ |

पवमानम्मधुश्चुतमpavamānammadhuścutam ||

On to the fleece they urge with stone the tawny well-beloved One,
Even Pavamana, dropping meath.
9.50.3

आā पवस्वpavasva मदिन्तमmadintama पवित्रंpavitraṃ धारयाdhārayā कवेkave |

अर्कस्यarkasya योनिमासदमyonimāsadam ||

Flow with thy current to the sieve, O Sage most powerful to cheer,
To seat thee in the place of song.
9.50.4

सsa पवस्वpavasva मदिन्तमmadintama गोभिरञ्जानोghobhirañjāno अक्तुभिःaktubhiḥ |

इन्दविन्द्रायपीतयेindavindrāyapītaye ||

Flow, Most Exhilarating! flow anointed with the milk for balm,
Indu, for Indra, for his drink.
